SSSD (System Security Services Daemon)
Clearing the cache
Note: This section came from a document I originally wrote 2013-06-11, as such it is pretty old and my not be valid any more.
SSSD is the latest security infrastructure for Red Hat type servers. It is used extensively in the 6.x series. Unfortunately, there is a bug in it that does not allow you to dump the cache. So, removing invalid information is trying. According to the documentation, you are supposed to use a tool called sss_cache to do this. In 6.4, it does not work. The way around this is to actually delete the cache files.
sudo rm -rf /var/lib/sss/db/*
